Mamie Violet (Rose) Moffett, age 99, formerly of Greenfield, MN, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010, in Buffalo, MN.
Mamie was born in Rockford Township, MN, on July 18, 1911, to William and Annie (Schultz) Rose.
Mamie was a waitress at Rockford House. She also worked for Tonka Toys, and enjoyed gardening and dancing. She loved to travel and visited Arizona, Florida, Texas, California and Canada.
Mamie is a former member of Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rockford where she was baptized and confirmed.
Mamie is survived by her children: Kenneth (Sharon) Moffett and LeRoy K. (Diane) Moffett of Boone, IA; grandchildren: Lisa (John) Pfeffer, Denise (Dave) Lenhart, Melissa Moffett, Joel (Melinda) Moffett, and Lynette (Fred) Vargas; great-grandchildren: Taylor Lenhart and Olivia Pfeffer; other relatives and friends.
Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Wally Rose, and three infant siblings.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave., Buffalo. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service.
Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Delano, MN.
