Lucille E. Mohring, age 87, of Montrose, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Buffalo Hospital. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lucille was a member of United Methodist Women, the Montrose Federated Women’s Club, Town & Country Club and Buffalo Al-Anon. She served as the church choir director and a Girl Scout Troop leader. She enjoyed many things in life. Coffee concerts at Orchestra Hall, trips to the Old Log Theatre, learning to swim and her appointments with her hairdresser and most of all family gatherings. Lucille is survived by her husband of 58 years, Alfred; Children, Allan (Jackie) of St. Paul, Paul (Linda) of Brooklyn Center and Linda (Raymond) Marquette of Buffalo; grandchildren, Jessica (Lee) Reinhart, and Erik Marquette; great grandson, Hunter Reinhart; brother and sister in law, Clinton Mohring, and Clara “Birdie” Hickman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Hannah Weeklund; siblings, Mildred, Allan, and W. Donald Weeklund; and an infant son, Dale. Funeral Service was held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Montrose.
Interment at Kreidler Cemetery, Montrose. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montrose United Methodist Church building fund.
Alfie, Lucille is in a better place and is no longer suffering. We all must do the same thing someday. My sincere condolences. I wish you well.
