My deepest sympathies to Carmen, Tora & all of Lucian’s friends & family. I had the privilege of working with Lucian at Cat for many years. He was a trusted & valuable team member, highly skilled & the utmost professional. He had an excellent work ethic, but I remember him talking about his family & daughter with pride. Prayers for comfort & strength in the days ahead.

Sunt convins ca ai trecut in partea celor drepti! Esti Binecuvantat! Condoleante familiei! Doamne ajuta!

Lucian, God, how hard it is to find my words… What can I say… You are in the first place in kindness and common sense… We know each other from Cluj and Brasov, we collaborated later when you went to the USA.. You are and you will be a model for kindness combined with professionalism… Peronal binds us even more; I did my military service in the same military unit: the paratroopers from Buzau. I am convinced that you have gone to the side of the righteous! You are blessed! Condolences to the family! God help!

My condolences to Carmen and Tora. I knew Lucian since our days in Cambric Romania, more than 20 years ago, where he impressed me and other colleagues with his technical prowess and approachable demeanor. He was very passionate about airplanes. One time, we took a road trip, together, to Wright-Patterson AFB Museum at Dayton, OH and Lucian kept the discussions alive, being so knowledgeable about the exhibits and the detailed stories of many of the planes. I am so saddened to lose this friend.

    Dear Carmen and Tora

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Lucian. I remember him as a kind and generous soul who was the first to welcome me to the United States. His friendship, guidance and support during those early days were invaluable, and I will always be grateful for his helping hand while starting a new life in Peoria. He opened his home to me and patiently taught me the local customs. I was touched by Lucian’s warmth and generosity from the moment we met, and I will always remember his kindness and treasure his friendship.

His presence will be deeply missed – my heart goes out to you and with my whole family, we wish you to be strong during this difficult time.

Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers

This news has come as an incredible shock to everyone. As Corin has said, the words are hard to come by. Your family at Caterpillar is mourning the loss of such a great coworker and friend. I enjoyed our time working together on the cold planer projects. Your deep understanding of engineering principles, your willingness to help anyone and work ethic are all things that come to mind when I reflect on our time working together. I will truly miss having you at work.

To your wife Carmen, daughter Tora and other family members, we are incredibly sorry for your loss. Take time during these difficult days to reflect on the time you were able to share with him. Remember him for the husband and father he was and will always be. He will always be with you. He’s met his ultimate goal in this life and is at peace with God in his new life. Bless you and your family during these difficult times.
