Louise M. Hohag Obituary
Louise Margaret Painschab Hohag, age 97, longtime resident of Marysville Township, passed away on March 17, 2013. She was born December 4, 1915 to John and Elizabeth (Hinteregger) Painschab on the shores of Lake Charlotte where the family owned a resort. The family moved to Waverly in March 1933.
It was here that she met her future husband, Warner Hohag. They were united in marriage on October 18, 1937. They lived in Hutchinson for 2 years where their first son, John was born. In 1939, they returned to the Hohag farm north of Waverly to live and begin their own heritage. As time went on, three more children, Janet, Marcie, and Steven filled the 2nd floor bedrooms.
They made the farm their home for 70 years and created memories that will last forever for family and friends. Louise remained in her farm home until January 2010 when she moved to the Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo to be near Warner.
Over her 73 years as a farm wife and partner, Louise was also active in the community. She was a 4-H leader, a member of the Women’s Association for both Waverly and Howard Lake Presbyterian Churches, Farm Bureau, Waverly Senior Citizens, and the QQ Club. Louise also enjoyed bowling and Minnesota Twins Baseball.
Louise is survived by daughters Janet (John) Helin, Marcie (Kim) Tuma, and son Steven (Patty) Hohag. Grandchildren; Amy (Ivan) Swenson, Quay (Nancy) Zander, Kara (Scott) Keister, Jeff Tuma and Jeni Tuma. Great-grandchildren; Ellie, Jonathan, and Jack Swenson, Rebecca and Jacob Zander, Laura and Tim Keister Brayden and Nicholas Tuma. Sisters; Anna Hohag and Rose Skonberg and many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Warner, parents John & Elizabeth Painschab, son John, granddaughter Tatum Zander, brothers John, Leonard, Arnold, Joe, Herman and George, sisters Elizabeth, Antonia, and Charlotte.
Funeral services for Louise Hohag will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake. Reverend Ken Ribe will officiate.

I am deeply sorry for your loss of such a beautiful lady. I have been blessed to have been given the opportunity to help both Warner and Louise at Lake Ridge Care Center, it truly was my pleasure. Warner and Louise are together again and God keeps them in comfort. Take care.d6b21
