Lorna M. Witte, of Monticello, formerly of Rockford, MN passed away in Monticello on October 18, 2014 at the age of 55 years, & 5 months. Funeral service on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2 PM at Cross Lutheran Church, Rockford, MN. Visitation on Monday from 5-8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM & one hour prior to service on Tuesday ALL AT THE CHURCH. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Rockford, MN.
Lorna Marie Witte was born on May 18, 1959, the 5th child of Walter & Gladys (Kottke) Witte. She was made a child of God through the washing of Holy Baptism on May 31, 1959 & confirmed on March 30, 1980 at Cross Lutheran Church, Rockford by Pastor W.E. Neumann. Lorna was a lifelong member of Cross Lutheran Church.
Lorna was employed for many years at Functional Industries in Buffalo. She worked in house & also outside of Functional at a hotel in Plymouth, a greenhouse in Monticello, a munitions factory & a dental supply business in Maple Lake. She especially loved the greenhouse work in the spring.
Preceded in death by her parents.
Survived by her sisters, Carol (Elwood) Rentz, Janice (Bart) Skafte & Ruth (Michael) Filbrandt; brother, Allen Witte. She is also survived by her dedicated caregivers, Angie & John Praught & many nieces, nephews & cousins.
