Roiger, Loretta (Hillesheim), age 90, formerly of St. Michael passed away August 9, 2009 at the New River Medical Center in Monticello. Loretta was born in Stark Township and married Raymond Roiger of Springfield on May 14, 1940 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond; son Linus; five brothers: Walter, Albert, Linus, Leslie and Lawrence and sister: Veronica Groebner. She is survived by children: James Roiger, of Monticello, Arkansas, Janice (Dwight) Beltrand of Becker, Minnesota, Joleen Randall, of Spokane, Washington, Gary Roiger, of Maquoketa, Iowa, Wayne Roiger of Golden Valley, Minnesota; special daughter-in-law: Mary Lou Roiger, of Randolph; brother: Roman Hillesheim, of Sleepy Eye; sisters: Bernette (Cliff) Schumacher, of Sleepy Eye, Bernice (Leo) Ludewig, of Comfrey; aunt Mary Turbes, of Sleepy Eye; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Friday, August 14, 2009 at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Springfield MN. Visitation will be held two hours before the mass at church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Her kind, gentle and thoughtful spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew her.
