Loren Reuben Larson, age 77 of Buffalo passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, after a long battle with COPD and other health issues on November 3, 2018. Loren was born on July 15, 1941 to Reuben and Pauline Larson in Howard Lake, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Annandale, MN. He graduated from Annandale High School, Class of 1959. Loren was married to Mary Ellen Johannes of Cold Spring, MN in May of 1961 until her passing in 1981 and married to his current wife Linda (Lyn) Burmeister for the past 35 years.
Loren loved old-time music, dancing, beating everybody in Euchre. Of course one if his greatest loves were his children, grandchildren, and his beautiful yard. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and the Minnesota Twins. He spent 43 years as a Lead Man at Mammoth Industries in Chaska where he retired.
Loren is survived by his wife Lyn; children, Lori (Steve) Blizil of Maple Lake, Todd (Tammy) Larson of Buffalo, Scott (Janet) Winter of Buffalo, Hiedi (Jake) Jonnes of Stillwater, and Rick Winter of Charlottesville, VA., and 12 grandchildren. Alex and Matt Blizil; Dakota, Riley, Abbey, and Joey Larson; Faith, Vance, and Jimmy Winter: Parker and Colton Jonnes: Ava Winter; Sister–in-law, Shelly Larson.
He is preceded in death by his parents Reuben and Pauline Larson; first wife Mary Ellen: sister Sharon and husband Ken Remer; brother David and wife Sherry Larson; and brother DuWayne Larson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00 pm at The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo, MN. A celebration of life following at Huikko’s Event Center of Buffalo from 8:00 – 10:00 pm.
Private interment for immediate family on Sunday, November 11, 2018.
I’m sorry I won’t be able to be with you. May you all be comforted by God’s promise of a wonderful heavenly home because of His only Son dying on the cross for us all & especially for Loren. I pray you also have many wonderful memories to think about during these sad days.

I will miss the last of the Larson boys. Loren was a good man and was always such a positive person. Ruben and Tootsie had a great family. A great legacy for those who follow their lead. My condolences to the family.

Praying that you feel the loving arms of Jesus lifting you during this season of your life. His eyes of love are on you right now. I am very tuned in to the good times in the 60’s and 70’s as your dad and Mary Ellen dated, and even visited Ann and I in Columbus, MS in 1970. We played lawn darts with mom and dad. I am so sorry to read that Loren has left this earth. He was truly a great guy. I always enjoyed him and loved to babysit his two children with Mary Ellen. I always liked going to the family farm of his mom and dads. Fun playing with the cousins. My sympathies to all of you that must endure this pain.
