Lois J. DeGraw, age 68 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 31. She fought an 18 month battle with cancer.
Funeral service on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, Buffalo, MN at 11 AM. Visitation from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, Feb 3 at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo and one hour prior to service on Thursday at the church. Interment Zion Cemetery, Buffalo.
Lois was born on November 1, 1947 to George and Alice (Peters) Caspers in Willmar, MN. She grew up on a farm outside of Raymond, MN with her three sisters and one brother. Lois met Larry DeGraw at the age of 17. They married on July 12, 1968. Their marriage was blessed with two children whom they raised in Willmar until moving to the Twin Cities in 1993. They moved to Buffalo in 2006.
Lois worked at Jefferson Elementary in Willmar until they moved to the cities. She worked alongside Larry and their son, Todd, for many years doing construction. After moving to Buffalo, she started doing housecleaning. She retired in June of 2015.
Preceded in death by her husband, Larry (2009), parents, George & Alice (Peters) Caspers & sister, Colleen Caspers.
Survived by her son, Todd (RoxAnne) DeGraw of Willmar, MN; daughter, Tonya DeGraw of Monticello, MN; 4 grandchildren, Zachary DeGraw, Katie DeGraw, Aiden Bergin & Kieran Bergin; a great-granddaughter, Serenity Gerke; brother, Bryan (Kristi) Caspers of Raymond, MN; sisters, Audrey (Jim) Koenen of Clara City, MN & Judy (Mark) Thompson of Spicer, MN & many nieces & nephews.
