August 7, 1942 – December 9, 2019
Lloyd Clarence Westphal, age 77, of rural Buffalo passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Park View Care Center of congestive heart failure.
He was born on August 7, 1942 in Buffalo the son of Clarence & Eleanor (Brose) Westphal.
Lloyd graduated from Buffalo High School in 1960.
On June 3rd, 1963, Lloyd C. Westphal and Rena Clifton were joined in holy marriage at The Buffalo Presbyterian Church. God blessed their marriage with three children Ward, Noel and Tracy.
Lloyd engaged in dairy farming for many years and was a registered Holstein breeder. His prefix was West-Blend Registered Holsteins. Lloyd was 16 years old when he purchased his first registered Holstein cow.
He enjoyed farming! Lloyd was also fond of mowing his lawn and going to The Wright County Fair. He was a great Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa! Lloyd was a lifelong Vikings fan.
Survived by his loving wife: Rena; children: Ward (Michelle) Westphal, Noel (JoCarol) Westphal and Tracy Westphal (significant other Jordan) all of Buffalo; 6 grandchildren: Nikki Hafften, Hannah Otto, Gregory Otto, Michael Westphal, Mitchel Westphal and Rachel Westphal; 5 great grandchildren: Paetyn Westphal, Owen Westphal, Briella Westphal; Maddie Hafften and Emma Hafften; a sister: Jo(Charles “Jiggs”) Hatcher of Buffalo; other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial service for Lloyd Westphal will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at The Buffalo Presbyterian Church. Pastor Dean Brown will officiate. Pianist will be Ralph Johansen.
A time of gathering will be held on Friday, December 20th from 12 Noon until time of services at the church.

So sorry to hear about Lloyd. Our daughter Tammy Perkins worked at Parkview and she said he was the nicest guy.
Rena and Family, sorry to hear about Lloyd, as many knew Lloyd drove school bus for our company Mattson Buses for many years and there was never a better driver then Lloyd, the kids loved him all the years he drove and Lloyd was just a great person to know, I know your family will sure miss him, as I sure will.

My sincere condolences. Lloyd was my favorite customer at Cub. I have such fond memories of our conversations, checking his list (to make sure he got everything you wanted), and his fun teasing. What a wonderful man!
