For 23 years she was employed by ECM Publishers Inc. where she worked as a distribution and project manager and was well-regarded by her coworkers.

She was a tenacious, yet beautifully compassionate individual, who was generous in all things, even to strangers. She loved to spend time with her family and to spoil her little nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading and gardening and was practically inseparable from the family dog, Ami.

She is survived by her daughter: Mikaila Norman; her husband: Pete Gronli; her parents: William and Jodi Norman and Mary and Steven Ryan; her brothers: Darrell (Bobbi), Blake and Brock (Megan)Norman and Craig Anderson; her sister: Cindy Anderson; in addition to many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Florence French, Axel and Helen Norman, and her beloved godmother, Virginia LaDouceur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 20th, 2017.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19th at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m.

Linda was thought of as a second mother to some and had love and compassion for all children. She had a fondness for Sharing and Caring Hands, a charitable children’s organization in Minneapolis. The family asks anyone wishing to honor her memory to consider contributing to this charity. Memorial donations may be sent to 525 North 7th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55405 or made online..

I am so saddened to hear this horrible news, she was such a caring and loving person and I know she will be missed by many. I know how much she loved poems so I would like to share one I think she would have liked.

Our memories build a special bridge
When loved ones have to part
To help us feel we’re with them still
    And sooth a grieving heart.
Our memories span the years we shared
    Preserving ties that bind
They build a special bridge of love
And bring us peace of mind.

    She will be missed,

Very shocked and saddened by the news of Linda’s passing. I got to know Linda for just a brief time while I drove for her at ECM. She was my boss there but I also considered her a friend. We had some really good talks and I feel fortunate to have gotten to know such a special person.

I am sorry for your loss. Definitely a life cut too short. I’m sure she will be greatly missed. God Bless!
