“Totty” Lillian Francis Marquette-Spike-Randall
Born May 7, 1932 in Chatham Township, Wright County, MN. The daughter of Leland “Mike” and Hattie (Stoppleman) Marquette.
Lillian had many accomplishments through the years. What she prided most was her family; raising her four children, Pepal Delton Spike (preceded in death), Brocklyn Oliver Spike (preceded in death), Nila Jane Spike of Cocoa, FL, and Jody Marie Randall, Bollinger of Ft Myers, FL. Lillian loved family, and family get-togethers, especially at holiday time. Lillian loved to cook, and it always showed through in her banquet style meals. Lillian loved a good walk through the woods, gardening, fishing, and music. Lillian was always there for family and friends in need, no matter the circumstance, day or night. Lillian loved a good chat over a piece of dessert and a cup of coffee. She was loved by all that embraced her. Lillian enjoyed and loved life to the fullest – she laughed – loved – and lived.
Lillian left behind five grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two daughters; Julie Taylor, that was like a daughter, of Cocoa, FL; sister, Marge Lehman of Superior, WI; sister-in-law, Arlene Marquette of Buffalo, MN; and many other family and friends.
Lillian left to join her parents, Hattie and Mike; husband, Dean D. Randall; sons, Pepal and Brocklyn; granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Spike-Zander; brothers, Gary and Ernest “Buck” Marquette on December 22, 2014.
A visitation for Lillian Randall will be held Friday, December 26, 5:00 – 8:00 PM with prayer service at 7:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo, 119 Central Ave., Buffalo, MN.
Funeral services for Lillian Randall will be held Saturday, December 27, 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 413 East 3rd St., Monticello, MN.
Nila; I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart hurts for you. I do feel blessed to have gotten to know your mother and spend time with her. She was a wonderful woman a sweet, caring and funny woman and a great cook. I thank her for the extra 50 lbs I have and I thank you Nila for sharing your mother with me. I will cherish the memories she gave me always.
My dear Nila; Was so sorry to hear of Mom’s passing. Thank goodness you were with her. I’m pretty sure she’s making that Cherry Pie for Mattie as I type this. Thoughts, Prayers and Hugs going out to you at this time. Love, Cindy
