Lawrence August Kottke age 92, of Hanover passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo.

He was born on January 8, 1920 in Hanover the son of Conrad & Elizabeth Seanger Kottke.

On May 20, 1942, Lawrence A. Kottke & Audrey C. Patnode were joined in holy marriage at St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Corcoran.

Lawrence was a life, long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover. He was also the cemetery sexton of The Hanover Cemetery, belonged to The Hanover Fire Department from 1947-1985 and served on The Hanover Village Council for several years.

He enjoyed watching The Minnesota Twins on t.v. and always had a garden.

Preceded in death by wife, Audrey; infant daughter, Joyce; parents, and by a sister, Gladys.

Survived by children, Kenneth (Betsy) Kottke, Eugene Kottke, Marvin Kottke, Gordon (Lora) Kottke, Leonard (Karen) Kottke, Ardella (Terry) MacDonald, Darlene (Richard) Schmid, Betty Ann (David) Heinz, Rickey (Margaret) Kottke, Gary (Lori) Kottke and Linda (Mark) Reinking; twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren; a brother: Chester Kottke Sr. and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Lawrence Kottke will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, October 27th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover. Interment Hanover Village Cemetery.

A visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH on Friday, October 26th from 4 till 8 PM. Further visitation at the church on Saturday, October 27th one hour prior to services.

Casket Bearers will be Kevin Kottke, Jeff Schmid, Brent Heinz, Dustin Kottke, Derek Reinking and Brandon Heinz.
