LaVerne Barbara Beaudry (Dick), age 90, entered eternal life peacefully on October 24, 2021 at Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River, MN.

LaVerne was born on March 20, 1931 in Albertville, MN, the daughter of Bernard and Martha (Kirscht) Dick. She attended grade school at St. Albert’s Catholic School and high school at Good Counsel Academy, Mankato. LaVerne was united in holy marriage to her childhood sweetheart Earl Beaudry on September 18, 1954. LaVerne’s wedding dress was very special to her as it was designed and made by her mother with the lace material Earl purchased in Japan during his time served in the Korean War. A baptismal gown was made with remaining material and worn by all children and many grandchildren. The couple resided in Albertville, MN and were blessed with six children, Tom, Renee, Russ, Michelle, Greg and Roberta, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

LaVerne’s employment included Northwestern National Bank, Receptionist/Nurse Assistant for Dr. Thielen, Receptionist in admissions at Buffalo Hospital, School Bus Driver for Don’s Bus Service, and the Principle’s Secretary at STMA High School, retiring December 31, 1993.

LaVerne was a faithful member of St. Albert’s Catholic Church, the St. Michael American Legion Auxillary Post 567, St. Albert’s Christian Mothers Society and the NW Deanery of the Archdiocese of St. Paul. During her retirement years she thoroughly enjoyed serving as a volunteer for Monticello-Big Lake Hospice and volunteer driver for Wright County Human Service. LaVerne was instrumental, along with committee members, the Fall of 2001 in starting the Divine Mercy Perpetual Adoration chapel at St. Albert’s Catholic Church. LaVerne also was a sacristan and Eucharistic Minister for masses and the homebound.  She enjoyed time with family, bowling, quilting, dancing, traveling, going to movies, and playing cards. She will be remembered as a faith filled sincere compassionate woman with a strong devotion to our blessed Mother Mary.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Beaudry; son, Russell Beaudry; and granddaughters, Dana Susan Beaudry and Bethany Rose Becker.

LaVerne is survived by her children, Tom (Sue) Beaudry, Renee (John) Quiles, Michelle (Mike) Dick, Gregory Beaudry, Roberta (Steve) Becker; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Lois Dick; family friend, Connie Rule; and many other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Albertville. Reviewal will be gin at 9:00 AM at the church. Burial at St. Albert’s Cemetery. Social distancing and other safety requirements of the church will be observed.
