Visitation Information
Lauren J. “Jim” Bock, age 77, of Rogers, Minnesota, passed away on January 11, 2011 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale after a long battle with pneumonia and a fall.
Jim was born at home on April 16, 1933 in Hennepin County, Minnesota the son of August T. and Agnes Mae (Flemming) Bock.
Jim graduated from Wayzata High School and then received training as a welder. He was a farmer and also worked in maintenance for the Minnesota DOT where he retired after 35 years of service.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia (Standish) Bock; daughter, Lynn Ann “Linda” Bock; son, Rex J. Bock; sisters, Lorraine Mayer, Arlene Dunston and Dorothy Corens; sister-in-law, Ruby Bock; grandchildren, Rocky Ray and Crystal Lynn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mel Bock and sister, Margurite Shiebe.
Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, January 14, 2011 at The Peterson Chapel, 300 North Main Street, St. Michael, MN.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Camp Courage, 8046 – 83rd Street NW, Maple Lake, MN 55358.
The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael assisted the family with arrangements.
