Larry Lee Essendrup, age 70, of St. Michael, Minnesota (formerly of Raymond, Minnesota),passed away November 29, 2012 at his home, following a brief illness. He was born September 19, 1942, the son of Edward and Hazel (Sell) Essendrup in Willmar, Minnesota .Enlisting in the United States Army in
February of 1964, he recieved his education and training in” Bridge Design” that became his life long work, for Hennipen County. He was given an
honorable discharge in 1967 and earned the National Defense Service Medal as an Expert (Rifle M-14.)
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and is survived by son, Chad of St. Michael Minnesota; two sisters; Mary (Jim) Wagner of St Cloud, Minnesota and Carol (Paul) Meyer of Clara City, Minnesota, in addition to one granddaughter, Alora Smith of St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Services have been set for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday from The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael, Minnesota, followed with burial at “Fort Snelling National Cemetery”
Minneapolis, Minnesota, with full honors. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
