Kevin Robert Sweeter, age 60 of Rogers, Minnesota, passed away October 4, 2022.

He was born on July 29, 1962 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota to Robert and Marlene (Krone) Sweeter. He grew up in the Corcoran/Rogers area, but graduated from Buffalo High School in 1980.

Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served for 10 years, and was honorably discharged.

Kevin attended college at Hennepin Tech and other schools, where he obtained many degrees. He was always striving to learn. He worked as an independent contractor, mostly doing CAD drafting. He was an author of several published books, which included fiction and children’s genres.

Kevin had a love for animals. He had many pet companions that he treated like family members. He had a love for Sci-fi, especially movies and shows. He liked attending the Renaissance Festival, eating sushi, and collecting cars. Kevin enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially camping. He had a laid-back, easy-going personality and could be quite the jokester. He had a kind heart and genuine personality. Kevin loved his family unconditionally.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; grandparents, Bessie and Oscar Sweeter, and Gustave and Lillie Krone; cousin, Gaylord Krone; and special cat companions, Neechi and Daisy.

Kevin is survived by his children, Minji, Eric, and Vania; mother, Marlene; brothers, Tim and Jeff; niece, Nicole; nephew, Jake; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael-Albertville (300 Main Street N, St. Michael).

Interment will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with military honors.

    I am so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. We worked at Green Mill together years ago and kept loosly in touch over the years. He was so kind and friendly, smart, and so darn proud of his beautiful Children! I am gratful to have known him and will miss his presence
