Kenneth L. “Kenny” Marquette Jr., age 39, of Maple Lake passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 from injuries he received in an auto accident.

He was born on July 18, 1973 the son of Kenneth & Bonnie Westphal Marquette.

Kenny graduated from Buffalo High School in 1992.

He honorably served his Country in The United States Marines till March of 1993.

On February 10, 1996, Kenneth L. Marquette Jr. and Mary J. Babatz were joined in holy marriage at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. God blessed their marriage with two beautiful children.

Kenny was a jack of all trades. He had worked many jobs in his life, mostly driving truck and semi.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping and gardening. Kenny loved demolition derbys. Kenny loved being with family and friends. He had a heart of gold and kept life interesting.

He enjoyed animals of all kinds.
Kenny loved to sing Hank Williams Jr. music on Karaoke.
He enjoyed working on motors and fixing things.

Survived by his loving wife: Mary J. Marquette; children: Colt and Genelle Marquette both at home; his dog: Vic; parents: Kenneth & Bev Marquette of Buffalo; siblings: Jake (Angela) Marquette of Buffalo and Cathy (Billy) Lindenfelser of Watkins; grandmother: Clarion Conzet of Rockford; step siblings: Annie (Steve) Jost of Annandale, Katie (Ben) McLeod of Maple Lake, Mike (Briana) Ross of Clearwater; father in law: Gene Babatz of Waverly; sister-in-law: Jane Babatz of Waverly; six nieces and five nephews: Laura, Adam, Jenny, Joseph Lindenfelser, Zach Marquette, Emma & Nick Jost, Alli & Grace Ross, Maddy & Landon McLeod; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by an infant brother: Lonnie Lee Hausladen in July 6, 1972, grandfather: Bennie Westphal on January 5, 1979, grandmother: Elva Westphal on December 10, 1987 and grandfather: Harland Marquette on April 19, 1992, step grandfather: Glen Conzet on February 6, 1995 and by his mother: Bonnie Marquette on May 25, 1999 and by a step grandmother: Luetta Schelinder on March 1, 2005.

A visitation for Kenneth L. Marquette Jr. will be held on Monday, August 27th beginning at 3:00 P.M. with a Memorial service following at 4:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

A Private family viewing was held on Wednesday, August 22nd at 7:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Urn Bearers will be Jake Marquette and Cathy Lindenfelser.
