Kathleen Louise Bauer born December 29th, 1944 at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis to Lorna (nee Schmidt) & Clifford Morin.
She was baptized on January 28th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She was confirmed March 22nd, 1959 at St John’s Ev Lutheran Church in Maple Grove with the bible verse Matthew 28:20
She attended St Francis Elementary School through the fifth grade and then attended Rockford Public Schools thru 11th grade, then graduated in 1963 from Buffalo Senior HS. She moved to Minneapolis with three girlfriends and worked at Munsingwear. She then met Allyn Lange and married him on March 30, 1964 at Salem Lutheran Church in Greenfield, MN. She was an active member of the church choir and the LWMS & participated in petitioning for the foundation of West Lutheran HS. She was re-married at the Lake Harriet Rose Garden on June27th, 1987 to Patrick Bauer (New Ulm). The two of them celebrated 30 years of marriage prior to Patrick’s death in 2017. They lived in Chanhassen, then in Bend, Oregon and lastly in St. Michael, MN.
She worked in the floor covering industry as a sales person for most of her adult life. She loved working at Dayton’s Oval Room and the Dayton’s home store. She studied and enjoyed exploring all things related to interior design. She excelled at being the hostess for gatherings of family and friends; her baking, cooking and presentation skills were a blessing to all. She and Patrick completed several land development projects together. They also started Buggies by Bauer, replicating antique doll carriages.
She loved to travel, was an avid gardener and she was known for creating stylish clothing for her family and herself. She will be remembered for her fashion-forward classy sense of style, her innocent, generous disposition, her ribbon drawer, her whooped cream, her thoughtful gift-giving, her giggle, her no nonsense approach to relationships and living.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Patrick, son Michael, sister Mary Davis, and many other family members and dear friends.
