July 1, 1975-December 1, 2018
On December 1, 2018, Kathleen Anne Paripovich-Adan was called home. She was a loving daughter, sister and mother to four beautiful children.
Katie was born on July 1, 1975 in Minneapolis to Michael and Darla (Leverenz) Paripovich. She graduated from Buffalo High School and went on to get her degree in Graphic Design from Bemidji State University.
In 1999, she married Daniel Adan and had son, Alejandro Daniel and two daughters, Adi Itzel and Ana Lucia Josephine. In 2010, Katie married Tanner Niemeyer and they had a daughter, Aspen Rae. Katie’s children were her whole world. She was so proud of their talents, and she loved to hear them sing!
Katie had a love for dance. Her free spirit, contagious energy and smile were what made so many people love her. She was creative and artistic and loved playing practical jokes and being silly. She loved riding and showing horses, especially her beloved Shambey.
Katie was preceded in death by her father, Michael and sister, Stephanie as well as grandparents Dewey and Frances Paripovich and Jasper and Berniece Leverenz. She is survived by her children, Alex, Adi, Ana and Aspen, her mother Darla Paripovich, brother Chris Paripovich, sisters Michelle (Kevin) Thompson, Sarah Paripovich, nieces and nephews Nick Paripovich, Jasper (April) Thompson, Samantha Paripovich, Caley Paripovich, Sean Thompson, Emma Thompson and many chickens.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4 from 4-8 pm at Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo on Wednesday, December 5 at 1:30 pm.

Sorry for the loss
A beautiful young lady gone to soon.
Katie, we all lost a great person when you passed away. You were so many things to so many different people. You were a fantastic mother, a great person and a beautiful soul. I really wish we had talked more this last year, but I know you’re in a better place now away from all the pain and misery that plagued you here among the living. God has welcomed you with open arms earlier this week. The Angels are singing and you are definitely one of them. You were one of a kind and all of us were better people for knowing you. You always had a smile on your face even though you were going through so much. Your smile brightened all of our lives and even though you’re not with us anymore we will have our memories and you will live on in our memories and hearts forever.
I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Prayers and thoughts to the family of Katie. Thinking of you all in this time of need. So sad to her of Katie’s passing.
I am so so sorry to hear of this vibrant, full of life/love, God loving woman. She was a joy to be around and I missed having her as a neighbor. I will miss trail riding with her and so sad we never got to go on that last ride. She loved her children fiercely. Goodbye Katie, until we meet again.
Praying for your family in the loss of your dear Katie.
I am praying for the family AND friends AND I am going to miss her AND I love you.
I am so sorry about your loss. She will live forever in your hearts with all of your memories you have of her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
Katie had the best smile ever! She was a talented lady and loved all she knew so deeply. Especially her kids. There is no doubt in my mind she is with God and watching over us all. We love you Katie! The Niemeyers
My condolences to everyone. Katie was so full of energy and always had a huge smile. She would be the first one there to give you a high five at the gate. She will be forever missed and loved by those who were fortunate to know her. So sorry I can’t attend the services as I’m out of State all week. But I’ll be thinking of everyone. God bless! My heart goes out to you all. Many blessings and love to the family.
Although I only met Katie a handful of times, then got to know her a little better through Facebook, I want to share with you what a good person & kind soul I believe she was. One memory: I had the privilege of dancing in a parking lot with her as she led a Zumba “class” at a horse show in Winona! You could tell by just spending time with her what a beautiful person she was inside & out ❤️ My prayers are with all of Katie’s loved ones, family, friends (& Chickens ❤️)!
I am so very sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul. I didn’t know Katie personally but I followed her on Facebook. I knew the family years ago, my daughter and Sarah were friends as children. God bless the entire family and those who knew and Loved Katie.
I wish I had the right words……..am just so very, very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Katie.
Buen viaje y gracias por los bellos años juntos !!

Peter and I are so sorry for your loss.
I will always remember Katie dragging me to one of her Zumba classes! Talk about energy and a zest for making people feel good! We will all miss her smile and her friendship. She loved her kids with all her heart.
Our deepest condolences to all of you. May you be at peace knowing she has joined Mike and Stephanie forever and always. Her legacy will live on through Alex, Adi, Ana and Aspen, as will her gifts of life. She has made the world a better place.
I knew Katie through her 3 older children as I had the pleasure of being their bus driver! Talked to Katie some as we conversed about how special her kids are! Ana especially holds a special place in my heart as she was one of the kindest, most caring young lady! I’m so sorry for the loss of their momma! Katie had a contagious smile! Hugs and prayers to the family!

When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. I’m here if you want to talk.
My deepest sympathies for your loss. I will always remember her smile, laughter and the immediate connection she had with my daughter. Katie-you were loved by so many and your free spirit will be missed by all.
Many of my favorite memories from childhood include my cousin Katie. I loved spending time every summer at Darla & Mike’s house, which was always filled with so much love. Katie and Sarah were like the little sisters I never had. Wishing I knew you better as an adult, but will always have so much love for you sweet girl. Sending love and peace to her family.
