Anderson, Kathleen (Laurich)

Kathleen Anderson, 67, joined her Heavenly family on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. She was born to Victor and Anne (Jenko) Laurich in Chisholm, MN on September 24, 1950. She attended Chisholm schools and was a proud graduate of Chisholm High School with the Class of ’68. She graduated from MN School of Business and worked at the Pillsbury Company.

On April 11, 1969 she married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Anderson, and several years later moved back to Chisholm where they built their home of 39 years. Kathy worked at retail stores until 1986 when she was hired by St. Louis County. She worked as a financial worker with Health and Human Services until her retirement in 2009.

Kathy and Bruce left Chisholm in 2011 when Bruce retired to move to Buffalo, MN. She had wanted to spend some time with her granddaughters there and watch them play in multiple sports.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and her sister, Victoria Bennett.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce; daughter, Kristin (Lance) Hovland; son, Bradley (Terasa) Anderson; sisters, Sharon (David) Terzich, Patti Farr; grandchildren, Dillon (Kayleigh) Anderson, Morgan Anderson, Mariah, Jillianne and Hillary Hovland; great-granddaughters, Maddie and Allie Anderson; many nieces and nephews and special cousins.

She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, walking and gardening. She loved to travel, especially cruising and visiting gaming casinos. She also enjoyed the time spent volunteering at the Buffalo Food Shelf and delivering Meals on Wheels.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a donation to your local food shelf or library.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 113 SW 4th St, Chisholm, MN, with Fr. Fred Method as celebrant. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be held in Chisholm Cemetery at a later date.
