January 18,1965 – August 18, 2022

Karen Diane Drimel

1/18/65 – 8/18/22

Karen passed peacefully in her home in St. Michael, MN on August 18, 2022.  A native of Maryland, Karen married her husband Jeff in 1989 and traveled to a few states ultimately moving to Minnesota in 1996.  After building a home in St. Michael, MN, Karen was focused on raising a family and raised three amazing children, Jacob, Cody and Kate.  Family was Karen’s entire focus piling the kids in the car to visit friends and relatives in Wyoming, North and South Carolina, Florida and anywhere else that the roads would take them.  We will always remember her smile and laughter along the way.

Karen is preceded in death by her Father, Ken, Mother, Patricia, Stepmother Annette and other friends and family members who she loved so much.  She is survived by her husband Jeff, Sons Jacob (wife Crystal) & Cody (wife Kenzie) and daughter Kate as well as her brother John who lives in North Carolina.

A service will be held in St. Michael with her final resting spot near her family members in Thermopolis, Wyoming.  The plan is for visitation at 9am, mass at 11am with lunch following at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN on Tuesday, August 23rd.  Please refer to Peterson Funeral Home, St. Michael, MN, for details.

In lieu of flowers and the like, the family would like everyone to reach out to someone in need, take time to be with friends, check on family, friends and neighbors and make someone’s day special.  You never know the power of connecting with a person who could use a loving touch.

May God give you all comfort & peace & May your smiles replace the tears over time. I will always remember Karen as a fiercely loyal friend, full of energy, with a big smile and sparkle in her eye. She was grounded in her faith and never hesitated to reach out to help or let you know she was praying for you and was there if you needed her. We raised our kids together, sharing many adventures, projects, tears, fun & laughter. Sending hugs & love to you all. Karen & your family will be in our hearts and prayers.

    Jeff & Family,

I was in CRHP with Karen, and just recently reached out to her, and she sent me a text, with updates on all the kids and letting me know how proud she was of them. I will keep you all in my prayers, and most of all, I will pray that our Blessed Mother will give Karen a beautiful welcome, and will give her the peace she has been longing for. With Prayers & Sympathy
