Kamyia Renea McCraney “Lashell Britton”, age 53, of Montrose, Minnesota and formerly Akron, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on August 3, 1959 in Akron, Ohio the daughter of Lee Britton and Sylvia McCraney.

Kamyia was formerly employed as a nurses’ aide at several nursing homes.

She enjoyed going to the casino and making quilts.

Survived by children: Greg Britton of Cokato, Minnesota, Dontea Britton of Rochester, Minnesota, Lee Britton of Arizona and James Britton of Montrose, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren; a sister: Pam Williams of Buffalo, Minnesota; three brothers: Gregory Britton of Buffalo,Minnesota, Lanuair Britton of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Dean Britton of Chicago, Illinois; step sisters: Net & Tracy Williams, LaBarbara Ford and MaryAnn Ford; an aunt: Blanche Waynesboro; an uncle: Al Hosley; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by two grandchildren: Sylvia Fix Britton and Dominic Fix Britton, parents: Lee & Sylvia, maternal grandparents: Carnie Bryant and Floyd Eaves and by paternal grandparents: Matthew & Margaret Knotts and by a step sister: Sarah Allen.

Funeral services for Kamyia McCraney will be held Wednesday, July 31st, 2013 at 12 Noon at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, Minnesota. Interment will follow at Maple Lake Community Cemetery in Maple Lake, Minnesota.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, Minnesota.

Casket Bearers will be Ray Williams, Tristan Williams, Joe Christenson, Greg Britton, Mike Britton and Bruce Nelson
