Judith Lynn “Judi” DeMarais, age 62, of Buffalo, MN, passed away on Thursday, September 9th, 2010.

She was born on December 15, 1947, in Fairmont, MN, the daughter of Bernard and Leona Bakke Jorgenson.

Judi graduated from Buffalo High School in 1965.

On May 27, 1966, Judith L. Jorgenson and Gareth J. DeMarais were joined in holy marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo by Father Francis Reynolds. God blessed their marriage with two children: Troy and Tiffany.

Judi was employed for twenty-seven years at Security Mutual Insurance Company, and later at General Mills for eighteen years. While at General Mills, she received an Eagle Award for her employment accomplishments.

She was a faithful member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, and formerly sang in the church choir for more than twenty years.

Judi enjoyed photography, baking, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was especially fond of her grandsons and was a wonderful cook!

Survived by her loving husband of forty-four years: Gary DeMarais; a son: Troy (Sherry) DeMarais of Devils Lake, ND; a daughter: Tiffany (Adam) Weis of Buffalo; grandsons: Joshua, Justin and Jordan; Brady and Cody; sisters and brothers: Arlys (Bill) LaPlant, Jim (Char) Jorgenson, Tom (Cathy) Jorgenson and Gwen Luce all of Buffalo; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great, great niece.

Preceded in death by her parents and by a sister: Caroline Ertl.

A Memorial Service for Judi DeMarais will be held on Monday, September 13th at 2:00 P.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 13th from 12 Noon until time of services at the church.

Interment Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.

Honorary urn bearers will be her grandsons.
