Judie A. Rose
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Sept. 4, 2017. She passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in her home. Judie lived her life with a strong sense of faith, dignity, spirit, and a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew and loved her.
She was awarded many commendations throughout her years of community service. She took on these duties, not for recognition, but because of her love of community and the joy it brought her to serve.
This is what the Lord asks of you, only this, to act justly, to love tenderly,
to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
Judie was born November, 28, 1943 in St. Cloud, MN. She was the first of ten children born to Steve and Doloris Michalicek. She is survived by her loving husband, David, of 55 years. Her four daughters, Stephanie Rose of Wichita, KS, Joelle (Bruce) Orthengren of Delano, MN, Courntey (Scott) Gusel of Buffalo, MN, and Nancy (Rusty) Wright of Hiawatha, KS. Judie was so proud of her grandchildren, Qwinn (Abbey) Wright, Tiffany (Brooke) Wright, Toby Wright, Mitchell Wright, Pete Roseberger, David Orthengren, Steven Orthengren, Maile Texeira, and Adam Gusel.
She will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters. Stephen (Linda) Michalicek, Mary (Earl) Tuttle, Andy (Cheryl) Michalicek, Karolyn (Larry) Skudlarek, Randall (Carol) Michalicek, Patrick Michalicek, Mike (Julie) Michalicek, Kathy Michalicek, Anne (James) Fordyce, and Arnie (Gloria) Michalicek.
Judie was preceded in death by her parents Steve and Doloris Michalicek and nephews Christopher and Astra Michalicek.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been created through the School District 877 Endowment, to be used for scholarships.
Our heartfelt prayers go out to your family during this time of sorrow. We all have been blessed with having known such a giving and loving person.
As such an incredibly positive influence on so many of us, Judie shall never be forgotten. We will greatly miss her. God’s strength and blessings upon you during this most difficult time.
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Judy and will always remember her with very fond memories. She was a kind and dedicated person. My prayers go out for the family at this sad time of loss.
We were so very sorry to hear of Judys passing, she will be missed. My heart goes out to you Dave, it was plain to be seen how much you loved and enjoyed Judie. You have our very deepest sympathy.

Judie was a pillar of the Buffalo Community and Wright County and was giving to others to the very end despite her illness. She will be sorely missed.

Judie was a most beautiful lady. She was strong, smart, kind and caring. She would do anything for those she considered friends and she had many friends. You only had to meet her once and you were her friend. She will be missed! She has a beautiful soul and no doubt she is helping up in heaven!
I am so grateful for Judie’s selfless examples of leadership. She made our community healthier, happier and stronger. She made me a better person. Thank you for sharing her with all of us.
