Joyce Ann (Johanneck) Beckers, age 72 of St. Michael, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 16, 2021. She was born November 23, 1948 in Marshall, MN, to Jerome and Florence (Kramer) Johanneck.
Joyce was a 1966 graduate from Wabasso High School and was active with cheerleading. She loved being a homemaker and worked for Hennepin County until her retirement.
On June 21, 1969, Joyce Johanneck and Robert Beckers were united in marriage at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Minneapolis.
Joyce enjoyed being with her family, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and doing many crafts with them. She was strong willed and had a great sense of humor and sharp wit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Florence Johanneck; and parents-in-law, James and Charlotte Beckers.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bob Beckers; children, Christy Mitchell of Chaska, Ryan Beckers of St. Michael, Libby (Joshua) Leimer of St. Michael; grandchildren, James, Ellie, Marcus, Adrian; siblings, Jill, Mike, Mark, Peggy, Tom; and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

Thoughts and prayers going out to Joyce’s family. She was such a wonderful lady. I worked with Joyce at Hennepin County for several years until she retired. What a fun person she was. I remember her wit! RIP Joyce. You will be greatly missed.
