Joni Faye (Blomberg) Kauffman, age 70 of Buffalo, MN passed away September 1, 2021. She is survived by her two sons, Mike Thomson and Spencer (Lynn) Thomson; grandchildren, Sydney and Zachary Thomson, and Karissa, Madelyn, and Owen Thomson; sister Linda (Denny) Terpstra; and other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Magdalene and Kenneth Blomberg; and by her former husband, Michael Thomson.

Joni was born on January 8, 1951 in Crookston, MN. She graduated from Richfield High School with the class of 1969. She loved outdoor adventures, craft shows, attending grandkids’ sports, concerts, and events, learning to play the dulcimer, watching classic movies, doing crafts, reading, cooking and sharing recipes, gardening, keeping up with current events, sharing old memories and stories, and the fact that she shared a birthday with Elvis. Joni never missed a Nascar race on Sundays. She was full of life and will be missed deeply by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at MN Valley Country Club, 6300 Auto Club Rd, Bloomington, MN 55438. Open house will be held from 4-6pm, with a short service at 5pm. Please dress casual and bring your best memories of Joni to share.
