Jon Del Isaacson, a man of vibrant spirit and boundless curiosity, passed away on March 19, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born on July 16, 1957, in Robbinsdale, MN, Jon was the son of Delbert and Eileen (Solmonson) Isaacson.

Jon’s formative years were spent in Buffalo, MN, where he graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1976. On April 7, 1979, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Bonnie Zobel, at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

In 1985, he embarked on a new journey as an entrepreneur, establishing Isaacson Lawn Care.

Jon’s passions extended far beyond his profession. He had a fascination for the natural world, evident in his unique hobby of collecting and preserving butterflies. Craftsmanship was another of his talents, as he meticulously crafted cases to showcase his butterfly collection. A man of many interests, Jon found joy in creating, learning, and exploring. He had a penchant for antiques, a love for music, and a fondness for gardening and planting apple trees. His adventurous spirit led him to live life to the fullest, whether he was racing motorcycles, traveling to unique places in the world, hunting, or indulging in trap shooting. His hands-on approach extended to all aspects of his life, earning him a reputation as a reliable and resourceful handyman.

Above all, Jon cherished his family and friends. He maintained close ties with his high school buddies and surrounded himself with a solid circle of loved ones. A lover of animals, Jon always found comfort in the companionship of dogs, especially his beloved Jesse. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, finding immense joy in the presence of his family.

Jon Del Isaacson is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; his daughters, Jennifer (Matthew) Kruse and Michelle (Jason) Reiss; his grandchildren, Kaylee, DellaRose, Amelia, and Lydia; his great-grandson, Thomas Del Isaacson; his sisters, Julie Fritz and Mary (Dan) Hershey; his brothers-in-law, Dennis, Larry, and Richard Zobel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Eileen; brother, Danny Isaacson; nephew, Richard Fritz; niece, Tearah Hershey; brother-in-law, Gail Fritz; and parents-in-law, Viola and Ervin Zobel.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM with further visitation and fellowship until 3:00 PM at the Hanover City Hall in Hanover, MN.
