John Grover was born to parents Nancy and Robert Grover on August 6, 1964 Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed away October 11, 2013 at his home in Austin, Colorado. John went to high school in Rockford Minnesota and graduated from Buffalo High School. He worked as a blueprint engineer at a Minneapolis based engineering supply firm, as a mechanic at John Deere and in operations at the Duluth shelter. John enjoyed boating, water skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycling and he loved learning about and working on all things mechanical. He had particular interest in trains, planes and Great Lake ships which he spent time studying.
John loved spending time at the cabin in Brule Wisconsin on the south shore of Lake Superior and the Nebagamon river. When John married Tina Pramann, their wedding was celebrated on the banks of the Nebagamon river. Although they chose to later end their marriage, they remained friends and in close contact until the time of John’s death. John was drawn to the big lake and also lived on the north shore in Duluth Minnesota for several years. In 1998 John moved to Colorado to be near his Mother and sisters. While living in Colorado John volunteered his time to the Obama Presidential campaign which brought him great satisfaction. John loved his cat Chloe and often spoke about her antics.
John is preceded in death by his grandparents Viola and Fred Doerr, David and Marie Hanson, Herbert and Ella Hanson, step-grandparents Harold and Melva Rauner, uncle Earl Grover, and step-father Roger Oslie. He is survived by his former wife Tina Pramann, parents Nancy Oslie, Robert and Judi Grover, aunts Lucile Grover, Donna Grandlund, sisters Roberta Reed, Cynthia Cadwell, brothers Wayne Grover (wife Richelle), Gary Grover (wife Jean), nieces Tara, Aubrey, Elizabeth (husband Pete), Michelle, nephews Michael (wife Rebecca), Ross, Kobi, Taton, Cotton, cousins Linda, Lisa (husband Jim), friends and cat Chloe.
John had great love for his family and is watching over us as we are united with him in Grace.
