John N. Heinen, age 76, of Osseo and formerly of St. Michael. John Nicholas, husband, father, and grandfather, left us to begin eternal life with Jesus immediately following the blessing by Father Kevin Magner at home on Thursday, March 6, 2014 with many of his loved one’s present.
John attended St. John’s Preparatory School and graduated from St. Michael High School. All through those early years he worked at Heinen & Mason, Inc., with his father John Sr. and Don Mason (brother-in-law), until one day becoming President of the company. John was the third generation of the Heinen family to own and run the company, which continues to thrive through his son Paul Heinen.
John is preceded in death by his parents Gertrude and John Heinen Sr., sisters: Marce Ryan and Anella Mason, and baby granddaughter: Grace Westgaard Heinen.
He will be deeply missed by wife Maryanne of nearly fifty years; a son: John (Ann Marie) of ND: Alex of CT, brother Matthew, L.C. of Rome, Andrew, Christopher, Clare, and Rachel; daughter Carolyn (Kirk Knight) of TX: Pierce, Dane, and Graham; son Gregory (Joanna) of MN: Paige, Althea, Noah, Gabriel, Nicholas, Hannah, Garrett, and Monica; son Paul (April) of MN: Kolin and Abbigail.
We deeply appreciate the dedicated and compassionate care received from doctors, nurses, and staff of North Memorial Hospital, and the entire North Memorial Hospice Team. Also the excellent care given by Dr. Neil Jeddeloh of North Clinic, Osseo, Minnesota.
A celebration of John’s life will begin with a visitation Thursday, March 13th from 4-8pm at The St. Michael Catholic Church, 11300 Frankfort Parkway NE, St. Michael, Minnesota. Further visitation will be held on Friday morning, March 14th at the Church beginning at 10:00 A.M.
