John M. Zachman, age 94, of St. Michael died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at his residence.
He was born on June 14, 1913 in Frankfort Township, Wright County, the son of John A. & Mary Willems Zachman. John was born on, lived his entire life and died on his family™s homestead.
On June 14, 1945, John M. Zachman & Florence M. Rancour were joined in holy marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. God blessed their marriage with nine children.
Mr. & Mrs. Zachman engaged in dairy farming for many years. Florence preceded her husband in death on May 10, 2001.
Through the years, John was a carpenter, worked at Land O™ Lakes Creamery and at C.S. McCrossan, retiring in 1976.
Following his retirement, John enjoyed being at hobby farmer, raising calves and going to many auctions.
He was a lifelong faithful member of The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael.
Survived by children: Harvey (Cheryl) Zachman of LeSueur, Alvin (Shirley) Zachman of Plymouth, Anita (Jerry) Mattox of Coon Rapids, Kennth (Mary) Zachman of Litchfield, David (Renae) Zachman of Clearwater, John (Charleen) Zachman of Albertville, Zachary (Debra) Zachman of Delano and Marvin (Alise) Zachman of St. Michael; twenty two grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife,John was preeceded in death by a son: Mark John Zachman in 1986, his parents, a brother: Nick and by a sister: Louise Kisch.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for John Zachman was held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 1st at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Interment followed at the St. Michael Cemetery.
Gift Bearers and Casket Bearers were John™s loving Grandchildren.
