I’m so sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. My sympathies to David Paula and Karla and also your families. She was truely a matriarch and one very strong willed lady. I was a friend of Don’s and after his passing I helped her develop WestCliffe, which was “Donnie’s dream”. Through that process I admired her strength and perseverance.
    May she Rest In Peace!

Carol and I are so sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. She was one classy lady with a heart of gold. When we moved from our Maple Lake house, but our house in Westcliffe was not ready, she welcomed the Kjesbo family into her home in Westcliffe for about a month. The lights in the lower level were on, sheets and towels were in place, soda was in the fridge and fresh cookies were on the table. What a warm welcome to a new community. Joan became our honorary godmother. This friendship continued as Joan and Carol met frequently for lunch. Thank you, Joan. We will truly miss you.
