I will miss Joanie and her smile and just talking to her. She was a great friend and she will be sadly missed by all. She will be remembered always and never forgotten. She will have no more pain and suffering.

What a shock when my brother Ron called with the news.
I called and left a message on her phone when I was home in January, but didn’t have a chance to try calling her again. She and Sonny were SPECIAL FRIENDS. Sonny and I ran around together, before we got married, with-in 7-14 days of each other in 1960. Had brunch with the two of them 3 weeks before Sonny died. They had both visited us in Colorado, during a “huge snowstorm”, as well as other times. After Sonny died, Joan came and spent a week, prior to my wife dying on 3/20/11 in CO as well. I will never forget Sonny’s quote to me…as we visited my family…”I don’t care how many relatives you have, we are Best Friends”, and I expect to know, and see you both when you come to Minnesota, whenever that happens. Will be missed by many!!
