Jo Hagen, age 79 of Buffalo, MN passed away at Parkview Care Center, Buffalo MN on August 6, 2013.

Funeral service on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, Buffalo, MN.

Visitation on Monday from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, MN & one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the church.

Interment Zion Cemetery, Buffalo, MN.

Jo was born on August 16, 1933 in Colfax, WI to George & Astrid (Steen) Russell. She worked at the Buffalo Hardware for several years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church since 1967 where she sang in the church choir & was the treasurer for the memorial fund at the church. She belonged to the Glad Hatters. The most important treasures in her life were her family.

Preceded in death by her parents George & Astrid Russell, son Randy Hagen, brothers, George & Arthur Russell & sister, Roberta Russell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Gene Hagen; daughters, Pixie (Tom) Elletson, Kris ( Bruce) Bauer, Donna (Joe) Krause-Atallian; grandchildren, Matt (Myriah Elletson, Russ (Michelle) Elletson, Jillianne Elletson & special friend, Tim Moy, Karin Bauer; great-grandchildren, Austin & Trenton Elletson, Emmett & Oliver Elletson, Kali Rose Schnaar; brother, Bryce (Ann) Russell; sisters, Barbara Matter, Margaret Johnson & Audrey (Gene) Geiger.

The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, MN assisted the family with arrangements.

    The Hagen Family has my condolences and prayers. I had met Mrs. Hagen when I was in High School with her son Randy.
    Randy and I were good friends and I always enjoyed visiting with Randy’s parents, Gene & Jo, in the early 1970’s.
