January 19, 1932 – October 21, 2022

Jerome W. “Jerry” Hance, age 90, of Buffalo passed away on Friday, October 21,2022 surrounded by his family.

Jerry was born on January 19,1932 to Wilfred and Helen (Reintjes) Hance of Buffalo.

He grew up in Buffalo and graduated from High School in 1949.

Jerry managed The Buffalo Municipal Liquor Store for over thirty years.

His hobbies included hunting and fishing.  He was also a fabulous cook and had a knack of preparing wild game.

Jerome “Jerry” Hance was united in holy marriage on November 26,1960 to Delores “Dee” Broll of Waverly.   God blessed their marriage with five children.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years: Dee Hance; children: Tim Hance, Greg Hance, Sue (Dean) Piche, Paul (Nicole) Hance and Corey (Julie) Hance; grandchildren: Octavia, Claude and Didier; a brother: Larry (Diane) Hance; brother-in-law: Ralph Gnitka and by a sister-in-law: Erva Hance.

Preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Kathleen Gnitka, Joan Schaust, Rita Kunkel, Estelle Schaust and Edward Hance.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Jerome “Jerry” Hance will be held on Friday, October 28th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo.   Father Nathaniel Meyers will be the Celebrant.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 28th AT THE CHURCH from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
