Jeffrey Donald Solorz, age 53 of Buffalo and formerly of Little Eagle Lake (rural Monticello) died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

He was born on December 19, 1957 in Minneapolis, the son of Donald L. & Verna M. Lockhart Solorz.

Jeff graduated from Buffalo High School in 1976 where he played on many athletic teams.

He honorably served his Country in The United States Army.

He later attended Anoka Tech for Tool and Die. Jeff was formerly employed at Thomas Engineering and at Die Concepts.

Jeff enjoyed living on the lake, fishing, boating, water skiing, watching the Vikings, and traveling.

Survived by his wife: Cheryl J. Solorz; children: Brendan Micheal Solorz and Alicia Marie Solorz both of Monticello; his parents: Don & Verna Solorz of Buffalo; three siblings: Sandy (Tom) Bolduc of Dayton, Donna (Chuck) Kurrell of Maple Grove and Keith Solorz of Greenfield; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by a brother: Robert John Solorz and by a nephew: Brent R. Swanson.

Funeral services for Jeffrey Solorz will be held on Thursday, September 15th at 11:00 A.M. at Our Father’s Lutheran Church in Rockford.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14th from 5-7 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Further visitation will be held on Thursday morning, September 15th from 9:30 A.M. until time of services at the church.

Arrangements for Jeffrey Solorz are by The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his children’s education fund at Wellsfargo bank.
