Jedidiah (Jed) James Field, age 45, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, Nissa, and family on January 11, 2024.

Jed was born July 2, 1978 to James and Debra (Anderberg) Field. He grew up in Grove City and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1996 and from the University of St. Thomas in 2000 with a mechanical engineering degree. In both high school and college, Jed was an influential leader on the swim teams and in musical groups, especially marching bands.

He married Nissa Inselman in 2000 and they lived in Otsego, MN. Jed’s work focused on healthcare construction and he finished his career at RJM Construction. He deeply respected and valued his colleagues. Team building and collaboration was important to Jed, and he loved to push people to be their best selves. Jed was best known for being a caregiver, always offering a helping hand, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement.

He cherished his relationships with each of his “nibblings” (nieces and nephews). He considered himself fortunate to have so many loving and loyal family members and friends. He strongly felt what we do with our lives and how we treat each other will determine the fate of future generations.

Jed is survived by his wife, Nissa Inselman-Field; parents, James and Debra Field; brother, Josh (Mindy) Field; nieces, Clara and Elena Field; grandfather, Otto Anderberg; parents-in-law, Joe and Lisa Inselman; sisters-in-law: Tija (Pete) Young; Miranda (Jeff) Clark; brothers-in-law: Josh (Jennie) Inselman; Kipp Inselman; nieces and nephews: Joel, Seth, Leah and Sela Young; Sam and Britanie Borg; Eloise and Everett Clark and many other relatives and friends that were like family.

Jed is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Marion Field and Mary Anderberg.

Jed was a strong, intelligent, kind, patient, generous, fun-loving, and caring man who was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be forever missed.

Arrangements for a Celebration of Life will be communicated in the upcoming months.
