Jay W. McKinstry
November 18, 1926 – March 29, 2020
93 years of Buffalo, MN, passed away after suffering a stroke.
Jay is a retired Minneapolis Fire Department Captain and WWII Naval Air Corps Pacific Veteran.
Survived by son, Kevin (Linda); granddaughters, Melanie and Molly McKinstry, Maggie (McCary) Mitchell; and their mother, Sue Mart; great-grandchildren, Savanna and Hunter Smallman, Malachi McKinstry, Jayden, Gavin, Marilyn, McCary Jr, Mitchell and Geno Relf; other nieces and nephews.

I remember Jay from our early days at Tower Hill. We were next door neighbors. Red and I so enjoyed chatting with him. He was very kind and he had a great sense of humor. We laughed a lot!

Jay was a special friend for many years. We enjoyed visiting Jay and Verona in Arizona as well as Buffalo. Jay always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye. He and Verona would attend both the Covenant and Catholic Churches each week. He was a great guy!
Deepest sympathy for Kevin and his family. So many treasured memories of my dearest Uncle are shared with them.
Another member of the McKinstry clan has left us. Gone but never forgotten! My condolences to the family !
