Janice Hope Nelson, age 71, passed away February 20, 2018. Janice was born November 24, 1946 to Joseph and Esther (Timpe) Nelson in Madison, MN. When she was eight years old, her mother passed away from liver cancer. Janice lived with her sister Joyce for 4 years. She also lived with foster parents, Willard and Vivian Anderson of Madison for a number of years. Janice lived in Minneapolis, MN most of her life. Preceded in death by parents; brother Wayne; and sons Scott and Bradley. She is survived by daughter Bobbi Jo Porter; granddaughter Tasha Hacker; fiancé Marcus Dale; sister Joyce (Chet) Koistinen; brother Ronald Nelson; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Norgean (Sean) Rodenborn. Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave, Buffalo MN.
