Janet E. Reimann, age 73, of Buffalo & formerly of Robbinsdale passed away on Friday, March 26th, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on May 27, 1936 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota the daughter of John W. Tierney & Lucille M. Gullings.
Janet grew up in Canton, South Dakota and later moved to Minneapolis. She graduated from North High School in 1954 and attended secretarial school at The Minnesota School of Business for two years.
On June 24, 1961, Janet Eloise Tierney & Douglas M. Reimann were joined in holy marriage at Bethel Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. God blessed their marriage with a daughter.
She was formerly employed until March of 1963 at Thorpe Brothers Realty as a secretary.
Janet belonged to Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo and was a former, faithful member of Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. She also belonged to The Red Hat Glad Hatters.
Janet made a wonderful home for her husband and daughter! She and Doug enjoyed spending ten winters in Venice, Florida.
Survived by husband: Douglas M. Reimann; a daughter: Judy Reimann of Robbinsdale; a brother: Douglas E. (Vickie) Tierney of Coon Rapids; a niece and nephews: Jackie A., Jeffrey M. and Patrick M. Tierney; other relatives and friends, including The Red Hat Glad Hatters.
Preceded in death by her parents: John W. Tierney & Lucille Gullings and by her parents-in-law: Dr. F. George & Lillian Reimann.
Funeral services for Janet Reimann will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 1st at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Pastor Ted Vanderpan will officiate. Organist for the funeral service will be Diane Johnson. Pianist will be Sherilyn Burgdorf and the vocalist will be Jill Stanton. Instrumentalists will be Ken Ross and Lee Kjesbo.
A visitation will be held at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo on Wednesday, March 31st from 4-9 P.M. A Prayer service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday evening. Further visitation at the church on Thursday, April 1st one hour prior to services.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be The Red Hat Glad Hatters.
Casket Bearers will be Roger Bergman, Arnold Wencel, David Stanton, Patrick Tierney, Jeff Tierney and Jeff Stanton.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
