James William Abel, age 76, of rural Buffalo died Friday, February 1, 2008 at his residence.

He was born on August 25, 1931 in Buffalo the son of Ivory G. & Florence M. Wren Abel. Jim graduated in 1949 from Buffalo High School. He honorably served his Country in The United States Army. On September 11, 1954, James W. Abel & Jeanette H. Eull were joined in holy marriage in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with two children.

Jim engaged in dairy farming and lived his entire life on his family™s farm. He enjoyed fishing. Jim was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. He was also belonged toThe American Legion Post #270.

Survived by loving children: Randy (Barbara) Abel of Buffalo and Lynn Hoh of Arden Hills; grandchildren: Neil Abel, Nicholas Abel, Derek Abel, Elizabeth Hoh and Annemarie Hoh; a great grandson: Michael O™Neal; a sister: Jean (Murley) Olson of Buffalo; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his loving wife: Jeanette H. Abel on December 18, 2006, his parents: Ivory & Florence Abel and by a sister-in-law & brother-in-law: Jeanne & Edward Durant.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim Abel will be held on Thursday, February 7th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. Interment will follow at St. Mark™s Cemetery-Pelican Lake.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 6th fro m 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Further visitation will be held on Thursday morning, February 7th at the church on hour prior to Mass.

Casket Bearers will be Neil, Nicholas & Derek Abel, Al Gapinski, Joseph Eull and William Bill Eull.
