James W. Little, age 68, of Montrose passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on November 3, 1943 in Buffalo the son of Harold R. & Eleanore A. Rose Little.

Jim graduated from Buffalo High School in 1961. He later received an Associate Degree in Business.

He was formerly employed as a purchasing agent.

Jim enjoyed fishing, playing cards, crossword puzzles and western movies.

Survived by children: Tamara “Tami” (Eric) Howard; granddaughter: Sophie Mae all of Mississippi; a sister: Marilyn (Frank Filice) Schlagel of Alameda, California; a nephew: Jason (Jenny) Schlagel of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandniece: Angelica; niece: Alyssa Mattheis of New Ulm; grand nephews and a grand niece: Dade, Cynestasia and Bodhi; niece: Kristen Schlagel of Marina Del Ray, California; nephew: Jeff Sipe of Gillette, Wyoming; niece: Jill Morgan of Gillette, Wyoming; grand nieces: McKenzie and Chelsea; cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, a sister: Arlene Jo Sipe, and an infant son.

Funeral services for James “Jim” Little were held on Friday, March 30th, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Pastor Jef Olson officiated.

Interment followed at Kriedler Cemetery in rural Montrose.

Marlene Mohwinkel was the organist for the funeral service. Rolf Mohwinkel was the soloist for the funeral service and he sang “Amazing Grace”.

A visitation was held on Friday, March 30th from 1:30 P.M. until time of services at the funeral home.

Casket Bearers were Les Thoreson, Jerry McRaith, Jim McGrath, Bill Babatz, Jason Schlagel and Frank Filice.

The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
