James F. O’Donnell, age 90 and formerly of St. Michael, MN.  Jim was born in St. Michael, MN on February 4, 1934 the son of Edgar and Aurelia O’Donnell.

He was a Navy veteran and met his former wife while serving our Country.  Jim was a lifelong member of the Church of St. Michael and a very devout Catholic.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and was a loyal Notre Dame football and MN Twins fan.

Survived by children Hugh (Brenda) O’Donnell, Margaret Coffey, Mary (William) Johnson and Paul (Jennifer) O’Donnell; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; siblings Sr. Cathryn O’Donnell, SSND and Edward (Joan) O’Donnell; dear friend and companion Janet Lamkin; other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his loving wife Bridget B. (nee O’Sullivan) O’Donnell; his parents and son-in-law Michael Coffey.

A Traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Church of St. Michael in St. Michael, MN.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22 at the funeral home 4-8 PM.  Further visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the Church on Thursday.  A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, May 22, 2024 at 7:00 PM.

Interment with military honors will be at St. Michael Cemetery.

In lieu of memorials, donations preferred for Gregorian Masses.

Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Park View Care Center in Buffalo, MN for the excellent care that was provided to our father and mother, Bridget O’Donnell.
