James Clayton “Frenchy” Nadeau Sr., age 79 of Burnsville and formerly of Rockford passed away July 15, 2015.

He was born in Hibbing on August 17, 1935 the son of Clayton & Gladys Allison Nadeau.

James honorably served his Country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was formerly employed at Washington Scientific in Long Lake and at Landscape Structures in Delano.

Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was especially fond of his grandkids who called him “Grandpa Frenchy”.

Survived by loving wife: Catherine Ann Nadeau of Burnsville; children: Anna Webster of Grand Rapids, James C. Nadeau Jr. of Hibbing, Lisa (Brian) St. Martin of Shoreview, Debra (Alan) Keske of Zimmerman, Troy J. (Christine) Nadeau of Andover and Scott A. (Christy) Nadeau of Maple Grove; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother: Clayton (June) Nadeau of Odum, Georgia; step children: Jim (Patricia) Lobitz Jr. of Mound, June Marie Lobitz of Bloomington, Julie Ann (Dave) Eaton of Shakopee and Jason A. Lobitz of St. Paul; also other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Thomas G. and by a sister: Janice.

A Memorial Service for James Nadeau Sr. will be held at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo on Saturday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow also at The Peterson Chapel.

Interment Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.
