James “Jim” Bernard Kolasa, age 75 of Rogers, unexpectedly passed away Monday, March 11, 2024. He was born on May 25, 1948 at Saint Barnabas Hospital in Minneapolis to Stanley and Leona (Babler) Kolasa.

He was a lifetime crop farmer and worked at Wrico Stamping for 51+ years. Jim enjoyed western shows like Gunsmoke.

On October 15, 1983, James and Susan (Schutte/Daluge) united in marriage at Our Father’s Lutheran Church in Rockford.

Survived by son, Mark; stepchildren, Bill (Shannon) Daluge and Cathy (Matt) Kohnen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marlene (Bernard) Vetsch, Barb (Dave) Gilles, Marne Kolasa, Stan (Nancy) Kolasa, John (Denise) Kolasa, Ed (Rob) Kolasa, Margaret (Rick) Kottke, Tom (Diana) Kolasa, Mary (Tim) Brown, Claire (Bob) Lensgrav; and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan; parents, Stan and Leona Kolasa; stepmother, Patricia (Domiani); sister and brothers, Beetzie Dalbec, Vern Kolasa, Bob Kolasa, Tony Kolasa; mother and father-in-law, Alfred and Dorothy (Johnson) Schutte; and sister-in-law, Peggy Kolasa.

Evening visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael (300 Main Street North).

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael.
