June 17, 1947 – January 14, 2020

James Allen Sargent, age 72, of Buffalo passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 17, 1947 the son of Lavon & Vera (Irwin) Sargent.
He honorably served in the United States Navy.
Employed for many years as a carpenter for Minneapolis Public Housing.
He was a former Boy Scout leader. James enjoyed camping, campfires, canoeing in the Boundary Waters, hunting, fishing and building things.
Survived by loving daughter: Nicole (Dave Lakabung) Sargent of Buffalo; grandsons: Alex and Cody plus a number of untold grandkids; loving relatives: Diane & Al Gapinski of Buffalo; three nephews: Corey (Colleen) Sargent of Florida, Eric Sargent of Blaine and Jacob Gapinski of Buffalo; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by a son Jason, his parents, two brothers Larry and Roger Sargent, former parents-in-law: Murley & Jean Olson.
A visitation for James Sargent will be held on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 from 2-4 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

    I was saddened to see that Sarge had passed away. I worked with him at Minneapolis Housing for many years. He was a nice man. May many special memories ease your pain.
