James Albert Shebiel January 1, 1941 – April 12, 2009, resident of Buffalo, Minnesota
As the sun rose on a beautiful Easter Sunday morning, Jim passed away peacefully. He was born and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin and graduated from Craig High School, class of 1959. He owned Northland Equipment Company in Janesville and later moved to Buffalo, Minnesota with his wife, Linda. He was one of three children born to Eldrid and Ione Shebiel and was the beloved husband of Linda Shebiel for 20 years. Jim will forever be remembered by his sister Barbara Cullen, late brother David Shebiel, former wife Kathryn Shebiel, beloved children Kristine Wildner (Kurt) and Alec Shebiel (Amanda), step-children Dave Frisell (Kim), Matt Frisell and Lisa Newpower (Jamie), treasured grandchildren
Benjamin, Timothy and Daniel Wildner, Quinn, Abby and Jenna Frisell, and Ryan, Brady and Carter Newpower, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Jim was a true lover of music, and enjoyed traveling with
his wife and completing his daily crossword puzzles. He was a talented and accomplished photographer; many of his family and friends display his beautiful photographs as works of art in their homes.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, April 15th 2009, at 2pm at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church 507 County Road 134, Buffalo, Minnesota.
The family will host a time of gathering at 1pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) (1-866-228-4327)
My deepest sympathy to the Shebiel family. I only knew Jim for a short time while in the employ of Northland Equipment. It was an honor to know him and I know he will be sorely missed by all of us at Northland.
Linda, Jim and I were friends in high school in Janesville,Wi.class of ’59. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jim and your children and grandchildren.
All the best,
Fred Baker
