With profound peace and sadness, we share the passing of Jacquelyn Ann Wiese Shidla on Monday, March 1, 2021. She was 74 years old, born on February 5, 1947.

On February 24, 1967, Jacquelyn Wiese and Paul Shidla were united in marriage in Excelsior, MN.

Jackie and her husband proudly owned Northwood Valley Kennels for 36 years. She was a member of the Hennepin County Amateur Retriever Club for over 20 years, and member of the AKC. She was a wonderful gardener and cook.

Jackie had a big heart and was very generous and caring to others. She had a great memory, making it hard for anyone to win an argument with her. She had a good sense of humor and infectious laugh. She will be dearly missed!

She is preceded in death by her father, Norman Wiese.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul Shidla; two sons and their families, Adam Shidla (Christine) and Aaron Shidla (Kim). Jackie was a fond grandmother to, Mallory and Cassidy, Jacob and Lily. She also leaves behind her mother, Beverly Wiese; and other family and friends who will miss her.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 15, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:15 PM, at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

The family asks for any donations to go to The Nature Conservancy of MN at: 763-497-5362.

I remember that beautiful California blonde girl when she and her family moved back to Minnesota, seeing her and her mom and dad my dads youngest brother uncle Normie and aunt Bev and her younger brother Butch . I think Will was born in Minnesota. Because my husband and I and our two children moved to Blair,Nebr. in 1964 and I am nine years older than cousin Jackie I did not get to know her and her family. All I know is that I think she was lucky to be born into our family to have wonderful parents and grandparents to have as loving Christian roll models. God bless and keep her. Carol Jean wiese Knutson love to Aunt Beverly and all.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jackie. I have such wonderful memories of the days of working at the kennel with her and going to the flea market after some of the chores were done. We had many good years of Field Trials together.
