Ivan Klingelhoets, age 86 passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Cottagewood Assisted Living, Buffalo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 3-7 P.M at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Further visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 one hour prior to Mass, at the church.
Ivan was born on July 23, 1927 to John B. & Clara B. (Hollerbach) Klingelhoets in Howard Lake, MN. He was united in marriage to Rose Ann Rasmussen on September 20, 1951 at St. Mary’s Church in Waverly, MN. God blessed their marriage with seven children.
Ivan enjoyed hunting, fishing & polka dancing. He & Rose belonged to several card clubs. He loved to tinker with small engines. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren & being with his family. He invented a machine to shell corn & he would do custom corn shelling during the season & in the winter months, he owned & operated Buffalo Dray & Transfer. He worked at Deer Lake Apple Orchard & drove truck for BFI. Following his retirement, he worked for Cottagewood Assisted Living, formerly Sunrise Cottages, transporting residents to appointments & also helped with the maintenance.
Ivan was a great family man, friend, neighbor & lover of the outdoors. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met & was loved & respected by his many friends & family. He will be missed by all of his family & friends.
Preceded in death by wife, Rose Ann, daughter: Karen Klingelhoets, her parents, brother, James Klingelhoets.
Survived by children: Ken (Terri) Klingelhoets, Gary (Gayle) Klingelhoets, Jane (Roland) Korfe, Tim Klingelhoets, Alan Klingelhoets, and Wendy (Andy) Porter all of Buffalo; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; brother, Clarence (Jerry) Klingelhoets; sister, Ida Mae Zahler; sister-in-law, Mardell Klingelhoets & many relatives & friends.

Casket Bearers will be Katie Hetzler, Jeff Klingelhoets, Angie Murray, Eric Klingelhoets, Sara Gutierrez and Zach Pitcock.

    My sympathy to the Klingelhoets family for their loss… My dad Phil Brown enjoyed his conversations & time spent with Ivan at Cottagewood.. He always had time to chat with us when we there visiting too. Sending thoughts and prayers your way…
