My heartfelt sympathy to my uncle Harold and to Irma’s and his progeny. I remember Harold & Irma well, having spent every summer as a child on grandpa’s farm as part of the family. Harold was my primary mentor on the farm. He’s the one who painted my name on the inside of the barn door in 1949. From a picture recently received from Harold’s brother Karl, that “grafiti” is still on the hay barn door of the old Zieman farm barn.
