Ione S. Anderson, 82, of Buffalo, MN, passed away July 14, 2013 at the Annandale Care Center, Annandale, MN.

Ione was born to John and Gertrude (Bryant) Posthumus on September 4, 1930, in Parkers Prairie, MN. Ione graduated from Annandale High School and received her degree from St. Cloud Teachers College. On May 1, 1953, she was married to Warren Anderson in Silver Creek, MN. They were blessed with three children. Their 60 years together took them to Plymouth, Buffalo and Howard Lake. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, helping others and spending time with her family.

Ione is survived by her husband, Warren; her children, David (Robin) Anderson of Buffalo, MN and Cathy (Lance) Breyer of Elko, MN; sisters, Betty Johnson of Monticello, MN, Donna (James) Bergquist of Plymouth, MN, Ruthann Dixon of Waxahachie, TX and Karen (Richard) Larson of New Brighton, MN. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Douglas Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Myron Johnson and Max Dixon.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25 at the Buffalo United Methodist Church, Buffalo, MN. Visitation will begin 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be at the Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Creek, MN.

Arrangements provided by the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
